This privacy policy applies to the following Android application and its developer, as listed on Google Play:
My Location Timeline ("the app") keeps a private, automatic diary of where you go: it records your location in the background and shows you, for any day, the routes you travelled and the places you stopped. This page explains what data the app handles and who it is shared with. The app is provided by yzyy, an individual developer based in Singapore ("we", "us").
While recording is switched on, the app collects your device's precise location and, through Android's activity-recognition service, the kind of movement detected (such as walking or driving — used to tell journeys apart from stops). From this it builds journeys, visited places, and daily routes.
All of it is written to a database in the app's private storage on your phone. It is never transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to any third party. The app contains no code that sends location data over a network, and its recording engine runs entirely on the device.
Recording is under your control: it starts only after you tap "Start recording" and accept the background-recording notice, and you can stop it at any time from the app's home screen. While it runs, Android shows the app's ongoing-recording notification and the system location indicator.
Everything lives in the app's private storage on your device:
With Pro, you can export your timeline as a GPX or CSV file. You choose where the file is saved using Android's system file picker; the app writes the file there and keeps no other copy. An exported file contains your location history in readable form — the app reminds you of this before every export, and how you store or share that file is up to you.
The app makes no network requests of its own. Its manifest carries the network permission only because the Google Play billing component described below requires it. Your location data is never sent over any network connection.
The one-time Timeline Pro unlock is sold through Google Play. Google processes the payment and we never receive or store your payment details. Whether you own the unlock is stored on your device and re-checked with Google Play, so it survives reinstalling the app.
The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK, and it does not collect an advertising ID. We receive no usage data of any kind from the app. Your device's own system-level reporting to Google (such as Android's crash and diagnostics settings) is separate from the app and governed by your device settings and Google's privacy policy.

There are no other SDKs, no analytics services, and no data-sharing partners.
We do not hold any of your data ourselves, so there is nothing for us to delete on request — your timeline exists only on your phone, where you can delete it by uninstalling the app. Purchase records are held by Google Play under Google's retention policies.
The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
