This privacy policy applies to the following Android application and its developer, as listed on Google Play:
Dusk Fisher ("the app") is a single-player fishing game that plays offline: you sail a small boat out at dusk, fish through the night and come home to sell your catch. This page explains what data the app handles. The app is provided by yzyy, an individual developer based in Singapore ("we", "us").
The app keeps a save file and your settings (language, volume, vibration, reduced motion, frame-rate cap) in its own private storage on your device. This includes your game progress: your boat, upgrades, money, the fish in your hold, your journal and the notes you have found. It never leaves your phone, and we never receive it. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
The app is free to download, and the prologue is free to play. The Full Voyage is an optional one-time purchase (no subscription) that unlocks the eastern waters and the rest of the story. The purchase is processed entirely by Google Play Billing: Google takes the payment, and we never receive or store your card number, billing address, name, email or any other payment detail.
To know whether the Full Voyage is unlocked, the app asks Google Play on your device whether your Google account owns it (for example when you open the game, buy, or tap Restore purchase). The answer stays on your phone: the app keeps only a small "owned / not owned" flag in its private storage so it can open the eastern waters offline. Nothing about the purchase is sent to us. Google's handling of the purchase is governed by the Google Privacy Policy; refunds and your purchase history are managed in your Google Play account.
The first time you open version 1.1.0 or later, the game asks whether it may send pseudonymous usage statistics. Nothing is collected until you tap "Allow"; "No thanks" (or not answering) keeps it off, and nothing is stored to send later. You can change your answer any time in Settings › Privacy › Usage statistics.
If you allow it, the game sends these events through Google Analytics for Firebase, a service run by Google: starting a game, tutorial steps, finishing the prologue, starting and ending a night, catching a fish or a legendary fish, unlocking an area, harbour restoration milestones, seeing the Full Voyage offer, starting, completing or failing the purchase, and changing a setting. Each event carries only a few fixed labels (for example the night number in a range, or the kind of fish), never free text. Google Analytics also records a random app instance ID created for this install, your app version and basic device information (model, Android version, language, country derived from your network), which it uses to count how many installs do what.
It does not receive your name, email, phone number, precise location, advertising ID, payment details or your save file. Advertising and personalised-ads features are switched off, and the data is not used for ads. Statistics are pseudonymous: we see totals and trends, not who you are. Data is sent encrypted (HTTPS). Google processes it for us as a service provider under the Google Privacy Policy; see also how Google uses data from apps that use its services. Google Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months and then deletes it.
Turning the setting off stops collection on your device straight away. To ask us to delete statistics already collected from your install, email us; because they are pseudonymous we may need the app instance ID, which you can find by contacting us first.
We do not sell data and do not share it with anyone for their own use. If you allowed usage statistics, they are processed by Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) on our behalf, as described above. The purchase is handled by Google Play, as described above. Otherwise the game sends nothing.
This app is not directed to children. It is intended for teenagers and adults (13 and over) and is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children; usage statistics are optional, pseudonymous and off unless allowed.
Your save file and the purchase flag stay in the app's private storage, which other apps on the phone cannot read. Usage statistics, if allowed, are sent over HTTPS. We hold no server and no database, so there is no account of yours for anyone to break into.
If what the app handles ever changes, this page changes with it before that version is released, and the date at the top is updated.
