Privacy Policy — Deep Sky Prospector
Last updated: September 23, 2026
Which app and developer this policy covers
This privacy policy applies to the following Android application and its
developer, as listed on Google Play:
- App name: Deep Sky Prospector (referred to below as
"the app" or "the game")
- Also listed on Google Play as: 深空探矿者 (Simplified
Chinese) · 深空探礦者 (Traditional Chinese) ·
深宇宙の探鉱者 (Japanese) · 심우주 탐광자 (Korean) ·
Prospector Estelar (Spanish) ·
Garimpeiro Estelar (Brazilian Portuguese) ·
Schürfer im Tiefraum (German) ·
Prospecteur du Ciel Profond (French) ·
Pendulang Antariksa (Indonesian).
These are the same app, published from the same Google Play listing
under the package name below; the store title and the launcher name are
simply shown in the reader's own language. This policy covers all of
them.
- Package name / application ID: com.yzy.deepskyprospector
- Google Play listing:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yzy.deepskyprospector
- Developer name (Google Play developer account): yzyy, an
individual developer based in Singapore
- Contact email:
yzyapps99@gmail.com
Deep Sky Prospector is an idle space-mining collection game: drones mine an
asteroid belt while you are away, and a daily spectrometer reveal identifies
the crystals they bring back for a species codex. This page explains what data
the app handles and who it is shared with. The app is provided by yzyy, an
individual developer based in Singapore ("we", "us").
Summary
- No account and no sign-in. The app never asks you for a name, an email
address, a phone number, a photo or any other personal detail.
- Your game save never leaves your device. There is no
cloud save, no leaderboard, no multiplayer and no server of ours for it
to go to — we operate no servers at all.
- The app shows ads, and it collects the advertising ID to do
so. There is one small banner on two of the game's screens, and
one optional short video you can choose to watch for one extra scan
(up to eight a day). Ads come from Google AdMob, which reads your
device's advertising identifier to show and frequency-cap them. Where
the law requires consent, you are asked before any ad is shown, and you
can change that answer later under Settings › Privacy ›
Ad privacy options.
- There is one purchase: Pro. A single one-time payment,
not a subscription. It removes the banner and unlocks four cabin
decorations. It never sells luck — it lets you use the same eight
extra daily scans everyone can earn from an optional video, without
watching one; it adds no scan beyond that shared daily limit,
changes no probability, and helps with nothing random in the game.
Google Play handles the payment; no card, name, address or
billing detail ever reaches the app.
- The app requests no runtime permissions — no location,
no camera, no microphone, no contacts, no storage, no photos, no
notifications.
- The app sends anonymous crash reports through Google Firebase so that
defects can be found, and anonymous usage statistics so that the game can
be improved. Usage statistics are your choice: in the
EEA, the UK and Switzerland nothing is sent unless you choose "Allow" in
the game's own prompt; elsewhere they are on by default. Everyone, in
every country, can switch them off at any time under Settings ›
Privacy › Share usage statistics, and switching them off changes
nothing in the game. Together with the advertising ID, the ad impressions
and the Pro ownership answer above, that is the data collection — the
complete list is in "What data the app handles" below.
- We sell nothing to anyone. Two things are shared, both with Google as the
app's ad network: your advertising ID, and the fact that an ad was shown,
clicked or watched to the end. Both are described below.
What data the app handles
The app itself asks for nothing about you: no name, no email, no account.
Everything below is collected automatically by the Google services listed in
the next section, and this list is complete. The first five entries are exactly
the five data types ticked in the Data safety declaration on the app's Google
Play listing — Crash logs, Diagnostics, App interactions, Device or other IDs
(the installation identifiers and the advertising ID together) and Purchase
history. The last two are named here for honesty rather than because Play has a
box for them: an IP address is inherent to any internet request, and your
consent answers exist only so you are not asked twice.
- Crash logs — if the app crashes or hits an error, a
report containing the device model, the Android version and a diagnostic
stack trace is sent so that the defect can be found and fixed.
- Diagnostics — basic performance, session and error
information of the same kind (for example how long a session lasted, or
that the app started).
- App interactions — collected, and partly shared. Coarse,
aggregated counts of which screens and features are used, plus a short,
fixed list of in-game events (for example that a scan was performed and
which rarity it found), so that the game can be improved; these go to the
analytics service only, are tied to a random installation identifier,
not to a person, and follow your usage-statistics choice. The complete
list is in "Usage statistics and your choice" below. An ad shown, clicked
or watched to the end is also an app interaction, and that half goes to
Google as the ad network — the second of the two things this app
shares.
- Installation identifiers — a random, app-specific
installation identifier (the Firebase installation ID and the analytics
app instance ID) that lets the crash and analytics services tell one
installation from another, so that a crash report and the events around
it belong together. It identifies an installation, not a person, and it
is discarded when the app is uninstalled. It is a different thing from
the advertising ID in the next entry: Google Analytics for Firebase is
configured not to read the advertising ID, and only the ad
service does.
- Advertising ID — collected. The resettable advertising
identifier Android provides. It is read by Google AdMob to select ads, to limit how
often you see the same one, and to measure whether an ad led to an
install. Where consent is required it is collected only after you agree.
You can reset or delete it at any time in Android's own settings
(Settings › Privacy › Ads), and you can opt out of
personalised ads there. This identifier goes to Google as the ad
network — one of the two things this app shares.
- Purchase history — collected. Whether the Google
account on this device owns the one-time Pro product. Google Play tells the app the
answer and the app stores that answer on the device so it knows whether
to hide the banner and unlock the cosmetics. If usage statistics are on,
the analytics service is also told that a Pro purchase
completed or is pending, and from which screen — never the amount, the
price, any payment detail or the order number. Purchase history is used
for these two purposes, the game itself and analytics, and is not
shared. No payment information reaches the app at
all: the payment sheet is Google Play's own, running in Google
Play's app.
- Your consent answers — if you are shown the ad consent
form, your answers are stored on the device by Google's User Messaging
Platform so you are not asked again, and reported to Google's consent
service so ads respect them. Your usage-statistics answer (the game's own
"Allow" / "No thanks" prompt, or the Settings switch) is stored on the
device only: it is not sent anywhere and not included in device backups,
because a consent answer belongs to the device it was given on.
- IP address — like any internet request, the crash and
analytics uploads described above — and every ad request — carry the
device's IP address to the Google service being contacted. An IP address can indicate approximate
location such as a country or city; the app never requests, reads or
transmits the device's GPS location, and holds no location permission at
all.
All of it is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Usage statistics and your choice
Usage statistics are collected by Google Analytics for Firebase. Crash
reports are separate and are not affected by this choice.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where the law
requires consent, Google Analytics for Firebase collects nothing until
you choose "Allow" in the game's own prompt ("Help improve the game?",
with two equal buttons, "No thanks" and "Allow"). Closing the prompt
without answering counts as no answer: nothing is collected, and you are
asked again the next time you open the game. Events from before your
answer are never sent.
- Everywhere else, usage statistics are on by default,
once the app has confirmed at launch (through Google's User Messaging
Platform) that consent is not required where you are. If that check
cannot complete, for example when you are offline, they stay off for
that session.
- Everyone can switch them off at any time under
Settings › Privacy › Share usage statistics. Switching off
stops collection immediately, and saying no — in the prompt or in
Settings — changes nothing in the game.
- While the app is still checking at launch whether consent is required,
a few events may be kept briefly in memory on the device
(never saved to storage). They are sent only if usage statistics turn out
to be allowed, and discarded otherwise — anything recorded before an
answer you were asked for is never sent.
- Usage statistics are never used for advertising. The
analytics service's advertising signals (ad storage, ad user data and ad
personalisation) are switched off in every case, whatever you answer.
Besides the automatic usage statistics (for example that a session started
or which screen was open), the game records these in-game events:
- opening the starter crate;
- the first haul collected;
- each crystal scan, with how it was unlocked (daily free scan, rewarded
video, or Pro) and the rarity tier found;
- that a watched rewarded video granted its extra scan;
- that the rewarded-video offer was shown, with how many videos were
already watched today as a range (none / 1–3 / 4–7) and whether it was
the first offer of the day;
- each attempt to load a rewarded video and its result, as a category
(loaded, no ad available, network, consent refused, timed out, other)
and a time range (under 1 s / 1–3 s / 3–10 s / over 10 s);
- each tap to watch a video, with whether one was ready, and how the video
ended (watched, closed early, failed to show);
- opening the Pro page, with which screen it was opened from and whether a
price was available;
- a completed Pro purchase or a pending one, with which screen it came
from.
Every value is one of a fixed list. There is no free text, no amounts,
prices or order numbers, no identifiers of our own, and no numbers except the
ranges above. One property is attached as well: whether this is the Google
Play store build of the game or a tester build. Nothing new is shared with
anyone: these events go to Google Analytics for Firebase only.
Your game save
Your progress — ore, crystals, the species you have identified, the pieces
on your display case, your ship, decor and settings — is stored in the app's
own private storage on your device, as a single local file. It is never
uploaded to us, never sent to any third party, and nothing in it reaches the ad
service. If
Android's own device backup is enabled on your phone, Android may include that
file in your personal Google backup under Google's terms, not ours.
Uninstalling the app deletes the save.
Third-party services used by the app
The app includes the Google services listed below, which collect data
independently of us and under their own terms. Google's handling of that data
is described in Google's privacy policy at
policies.google.com/privacy.
- Firebase Crashlytics — records the crash and error
reports described above (stack traces and device state at the time of the
crash).
- Google Analytics for Firebase — records the anonymous
usage events described above, only as your usage-statistics choice
allows (see "Usage statistics and your choice"). It is configured
not to read the advertising identifier
(
google_analytics_adid_collection_enabled=false), and its
advertising consent signals stay denied in every case: the advertising
ID in this app is used by the ad service below, for advertising, and
analytics data is never used for advertising.
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) — serves the banner
and the optional rewarded video, and reads the advertising identifier
described above to select and frequency-cap them and to measure ad
conversions. Google acts as our advertising partner here; how Google uses
data in advertising is described at
policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The ad units will be configured to exclude gambling and casino
advertising before any ad is served to a player — the game is rated 13
and over.
- Google User Messaging Platform — shows the consent form
where privacy law requires one (for example in the EEA and the UK) and
remembers your answer. Where that form applies, the "Ad privacy options"
row under the game's Settings › Privacy re-opens it so you can
change your answer. At launch the app also asks it, without showing
anything, whether consent is required where you are; that answer decides
whether usage statistics wait for your "Allow".
- Google Play Billing — handles the one-time Pro purchase
and tells the app whether this account owns it. The payment itself
happens inside Google Play; the app receives an ownership answer and
nothing else.
One more thing belongs in this list, because it is attribution and calling
it nothing else would be untrue: Google Analytics for Firebase reads the
Google Play install referrer once, shortly after installation,
through Google Play's own referrer service. It says which Play campaign or link
the install came from. It is a one-time read and it carries no identifier of
yours. Together with AdMob's own measurement of whether an ad led to an
install, that is the attribution the app does.
Beyond that there is no ad mediation and no second ad network, no social or
login SDK, no third-party attribution or marketing SDK (no AppsFlyer, Adjust,
Branch, Facebook or similar), and no analytics service other than the one
above. We can see the reports these services produce in Google's own
dashboards, in aggregate form. We do not receive, store or have any way to look
up an individual player's data, and we do not combine this information with
anything else.
What the app does not do
- It does not sell or rent data to anyone. What it shares is named above
and is only those two things, both with Google as the ad network.
- It shows no interstitial and no forced ad: the video is always your
choice, and skipping it costs you nothing the free game does not already
give you.
- It sells nothing that affects luck. Every player has the same daily
limit — three free scans plus up to eight extra, eleven in all — and the
Pro purchase only lets you take those same eight without watching a
video. It adds no scan beyond that shared limit, changes no probability
and touches nothing random; the game's odds are published inside the app,
under Settings › Odds.
- It contains no subscription — Pro is a single one-time purchase, so
there is nothing to cancel and no recurring charge.
- It never sees your payment details.
- It does not ask for or hold location, camera, microphone, contacts,
storage or photo permissions.
- It has no login, no user profile, no chat, no friends list, no
leaderboard and no user-generated content. Nothing you do in the game is
visible to any other player.
- It does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Deep Sky Prospector is a general-audience game intended for players aged 13
and over. It is not directed at children under 13, its Google
Play target-audience declaration excludes the under-13 age groups, it is not
part of Google Play's Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from children. The advertising described above is aimed at
that same 13-and-over audience. If you believe a
child under 13 has used the app and that information about them was collected,
email yzyapps99@gmail.com and we will
act on it.
Data retention and deletion
The crash reports, anonymous usage events and advertising data are held by
Google under its own retention settings and are deleted according to them; you
can reset the advertising identifier yourself at any time in Android's Settings
› Privacy › Ads, which breaks the link between past and future ad
data. Your Pro purchase is a record held by Google Play under your Google
account — we cannot delete it, and deleting it would take away something you
paid for. We keep no separate
copy of any of it and we have no database of our own. Switching off Settings
› Privacy › Share usage statistics stops further usage
statistics; uninstalling the app deletes your local game save and stops all
further collection.
You may ask us what has been collected about your installation, or ask us to
delete it, by emailing
yzyapps99@gmail.com. Apart from the
Pro purchase, which Google Play holds against your Google account, none of the
data described above is tied to a name or an account — so please tell us the
approximate date and the device model, and we will ask Google to locate and
delete the matching records. We will reply within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any new version will be posted
on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, before the change it
describes takes effect.
